Association of Certified Intercessors
Carrie Hoffman, Director
Greatness requires a standard for measurement. Therefore, the Association of Certified Intercessors (ACI) is pioneering a pathway for standards of excellence in intercession. Its purpose is to present a national and international criterion for certification of training and experience. Such standards will enable intercessors to reach their potential by validating their strengths and identifying areas where more training is needed. ACI’s goal is to see the Christian church embrace universal standards so that God’s army will be corporately strengthened and unified.
ACI’s motto is: Fellowship is the key to unity, teaching is the key to strength.
Curriculum is designed to train intercessors in a practicum of body, soul and spiritual issues. Basic subjects will include dressing for success, conflict resolution, building integrity, and more. Core subjects will address how to pray the Word, how to speak a word in due season, the wisdom of protocol when dealing with authority figures, and many interpersonal concerns regarding intercessors. Advanced training will focus on spiritual warfare, isolating and pulling down strongholds, breaking curses, et cetera. Members will be encouraged to build strong bonds of friendship and to hold each other accountable to a level of integrity that fosters trust amongst the troops. Our belief is that God has called us to be a strong army so we must walk in unity in order to fight the good fight of faith.
Qualified teachers from various Christian ministries will share their expertise, and all members will be encouraged to pray for each other—edifying, exhorting and comforting one another (see 1 Corinthians 14:3). With that said, ACI is not looking for established generals like David or Gideon—those who have already found their purpose and place. Instead, we intend to call forth an army of unknowns who have served a David and fought for a Gideon. Consequently, ACI will promote from within the ranks. Members exhibiting a teaching ability will have an opportunity to come forward. Those with an aptitude for writing will find a forum for contributing articles and stories. All members will be encouraged to recognize the abilities of their comrades and help them to move up the ranks.
We plan to offer annual seminars, electronic newsletters, podcasts of monthly meetings, and a Web calendar for local and global prayer events.
ACI is an open fellowship, however, only registered members will be accredited. Membership will require an annual fee. Transcripts for credits earned will be maintained by ACI and supplied upon request.
Our vision is to eventually have ACI chapters world wide. If you are interested in starting a chapter, please contact Carrie Hoffman: ACI@increaseinternational.com.
